International conference gathered philosophers, protestant, eastern orthodox and catholic theologians and sociologists from Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia. Conference was opened by Mr Norbert Reck, editor of German edition of famous theological ecumenical journal “Concilium”. Concept of dangerous memories was introduced as very important link toward the reconciliation in the Balkans. There were many abuses of memory during the last few decades. Traditions were constructed and invented in order to manipulate collective memory and to form new nationalistic identities. This process needs to be reversed and new social constructs and identities created.
